  • Alternate turbo auto oil pump - ITM 057-1084 ?

I'm looking for but haven't been able to find a Nissan OE / Atsugi turbo auto pump (p/n 15010-07P02 or 15010-07P03) - ASCO and courtesy parts are out. While digging around I stumbled on what might be an alternate, the ITM 057-1084. Has anyone tried this pump?

Rock Auto lists it for the Z31 as follows:

    [pre]ITM ENGINE COMPONENTS Part # 0571084
    Automatic Trans; Turbo

    http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...818&cc=1209541

A google search for the same part number shows an ebay listing where every application is "turbo, auto":

In theory it should be the same pump, Someone would need to buy and open it up to confirm.
      Hmmm, Whats next?

Did anyone ever buy one of these and check it? They are still listed as turbo auto pumps on Rock Auto.

I just purchased one as a replacement for the one on SS 820, I'll update when it comes in.

            Measurements according to this thread:
            http://z31performance.com/showthread...-Auto-Oil-Pump

would indicate that the ITM 057-1084 i got from RockAuto is a turbo 5spd and not a turbo auto.

The outer casting has no identification marks.

            Guts:

            Inner ring, tooth thickness: .4925

            Outer ring, tooth thickness: .4945

Sorry Mario, your turbo auto oil pump is in another castle...

I'd just like to point out that the 1984 new model introduction states all turbo models got high-volume oil pumps, and I myself have owned multiple 100% stock turbo manual cars 84-87 which all measured out to match the high volume pump. So its a weird topic.

One of these days I want to order the Melling pump and measure it.

Is that ITM a new casting or did they reuse a nissan casting?

I'm not going to throw a turd into a pond, but i've seen casting flaws in reliant components to come out with shit quality and false tooling in the casting.

Yeah, I have my misgivings about it after finding its not a Nissan or Atsugi core.
It's an aftermarket casting for sure.

Well I was asking because an aftermarket part doesn't even have to use the same sized gears/bearings/anything as the original... like that other waterpump that comes with a cast impeller...

This is why I'm curious on the Melling pump. They simply list to use a different pressure bypass spring for auto cars. It could use larger gears than the NA pump, or it may not.

or just slap some washers under the spring and measure with a gauge until desired pressure is attained
