  • Weird starting issue (dead bat?)

I suspect that my battery is weak but I never saw this (living north Canada I know how behave a dead battery!)

I put the key to ON position, everything is normal, start the car, nothing but a weir click (not the usual starter selenoid click (or may be the selenoid + something else)).

Then no power at all, no door beep/radio etc.. Remove the key, put it back, nothing. SO I jumped out to unhook the battery suspecting a complete battery short circuit but everything seem fine with my multimeter (10A). So I hook back the battery, the power is back, start the car again, same thing.

    Fuses are fine.

Never had an electrical issue before with the car.

I will bring the battery for load testing tomorrow but still I dont like that total power loss...

Or the starter is the problem.

When I disconnect the battery there is no noise at all (like if starter selenoid was stuck or something).

    87NA manual.
