  • Is it worth it?

So after my last auto cross my water pump, I believe still got to check, and I know I should change the timing belt and tensioner while I have it a part. I was also told to check and replace if needed the cam seals. Now come the questions, would it be worth it to upgrade the cams while I'm replacing the cam seals, or would this take more time than its worth? Lastly, is there anything else I should replace while doing the water pump, and if I replaced cams is there anything I should replace with them?

    Thanks for your time.

Two things that don't really answer your question:

    1) Cams will change your autox class
    2) I have a set of isky cams for sale if you are interested.

I don't know SCCA classing but I'm in F Modified, I believe I have 9 points right now and I can go to 17 before changing class, and are they NA cams?

Oh interesting. Cool! As for the cams, I am not sure. They are the 270H cams (normally called the low boost cams)--I don't know if Isky did anything to them to make them for NA application, but here's the spec sheet:

How much are you asking for the cams, Justin?

Did you ever use it frost? Because I believe the cams are different for my turbo engine.

Nope, never installed them. I was under the impression that all VG30 (E or ET) cams are the same unless it's the euro spec cams.

Has anyone used the stage 1 or stage 2 MSA camshafts?

Keep in mind that when you change cams it's a good idea to get the valve springs that are rated for your camshaft lift. Also new lifters or resurface your the ones you have depending on your budget
