My son found a Shiro for sale with a blown motor locally. I want to be sure that the original tranny/ LSD (and other stuff) have not been swapped out. Are there identifying marks/ signs by just looking under the car that I can employ to verify this? Thanks.

LSD on the Shiros *usually* have an orange sticker that says "LSD" on the side of the finned cover (have not found this on regular 87-89 turbo CLSD's). Also look for the telltale rib structure on the 30A tranny as well as the slanted shifter plate.

Or jack it up and get both rear wheels off the ground and spin a back wheel. Both wheels will spin the same direction if its a LSD, if it is open one will spin the opposite way.

Turns out this Shiro used to be owned by Felix (z31t) right here in Greenville SC.Everything is Meaningless.

The present owner has several projects going on and the SS is not top priority.
The clearcoat is pitted and the front lip is rough but, other than that, no bad body issues or rust.
I PM'ed Felix so, maybe he can chime in to add further details.Everything is Meaningless.

Both of mine had to be douched with a mix of white vinegar and water to get rid of that stuff.
#820 sat for a year or so under a tarp, #683 was parked in a similar wet/damp location to where this one is at.
