  • Air conditioner removal

I'm pulling my air cond condensor and compressor in the near future. To the people that have done this before did you remove all the crap from under the dash to, if not what did you do with the pipes that go through the firewall?

Was it just cut the thing off at the firewall and plug it ghetto style or did you do it another way.

    Cheers

    Matt

you can just remove the lines to the firewall and call it a day, but theres easily another 20-30 lbs of A/C parts under the dash, the only problem is removing the A/C system in it's entirety without hosing your heater controls unless you don't care for that either, then you could just remove EVERYTHING and save a decent amount of weight

I just finally removed my a/c evaporator.

It is way easier to get to then the heater core. You could still retain the controls.

Terrible idea putting those wheels on...
