  • tight 90 degree 3 pipe for intake

seems like a basic thing to find at first, but it's been much harder than one would think. I've checked the plumbing departments in ace, lowe's, and home depot and all the 3" stuff I can find measures is a 3" ID which makes it 3+ OD. When to fit in a 3" coupling you need more like 2 and 7/8" OD pipe.

Search for that cobra pipe....hopefully someone will link to it.
It may not be a Z, but it's still got a turbo...

for 3" coupling you can use one from the plumbing supplies.... they have a rubber sleeved with corrugated steel and two hose clamps...

lowe's had some, but in the goofy smaller on one side and bigger on the other in the not so compatible sizing. I've heard copper elbows work better, but I've only seen them at ACE in small sizes.

Try a plumbing supply store. I think it was Z_Karma who used a copper elbow a few years back and posted pics and info at z31.com. I'm sure that's all been deleted by now.

There's more stuff there if that's not what you need.

I found my solution! it's a 2" npt threaded steel 90 degree plumbing thing, and the OD matches the ID of a 3" coupling perfectly, yay. I'll post pics once I get it set up.

You could also use a tight 3" mandrel exhaust bend.
