  • ok about to begin!

time to pull the vg30e out of my s12 hatch parts car, and begin the teardown

any advice for me, as ive never pulled a motor before?

i plan on having everything hot tanked, then rebuilding with turbo pistons, rods?, having the intake plenums ported, the heads ported, 5 angle valvejob, then eventually ill start piecing the turbo components.

im looking to achieve ~350-400 whp

    any advice?

    Dont drop it.
Just stand back and throw money.
    Performance costs money.
    Reliable performance costs more.

my dad has more abitious plans for the car....like 600hp on race gas?

what do i need to attain this?

          will vg33er heads bolt on?

im thinking twin turbo, with a pair of t3s or gt25rs

          anyone?

i plan on having everything blueprinted and balanced, knife-edged crank, maybe an overbore (possible?) cams, headwork, intakework, big fuel...etc...

Yeah, you'll definitely have to have a big budget for that. There is information pertaining to what would be needed to achieve your power goals.

you need to read some of the faqs and stickies on this site, and no vg33 heads are worse than z31 heads and probably all vg30

the s12 has space constraints but even z31's can't easily accomodate twin turbo, but you can always rearrange some walls and panels to make it fit as with anything, custom headers will help
