  • Head Bolt removal

Anybody know what size allen key the head bolts take?

Is there a special socket you can get for them from nissan or somewhere?

    10mm hex (allen) socket!

Any local auto parts store should carry them.

or you can scrape it out with a chopstick or skewer if it's nicely caked in there

I just pushed harder, it helps if you change your oil regularly.
It may not be a Z, but it's still got a turbo...

You guys are all stupid! What you do is get close to the bolt make sure you can see what is going on with that bolt specifically, meaning get REAL close and then shoot about 110psi of air into the head of the bolt to clear it out.

They make head bolt sockets, that have the proper size hex head on a socket, and the whole piece is about 6" long, making it real easy to get it in there and use a good amount of torque.
