  • Side mirrors?

Well, theres been a cracked piece about 3" long on my side mirror since I got the car, and brushing the snow off of it this morning it finally gave way.

Is there anywhere I can get just the housing for the side mirror? or do i have to get the whole mirror?

They only have the whole mirror...

I think I have a set around somewhere from my last parts car. They are electro-defog from a turbo car is I remember correctly. Make me an offer and I'll go see if I can find them and take pics.

It is much easier to replace the whole mirror than the housing.

Hmm... Now another question... If i do replace the whole mirror, and the new one is heated and the old one isnt, will I be able to use the power mirror? Or are they completely different?

Thats exactly why I did that.
Not many GLL's in the JY. 2nd, most of the mirrors (the glass) were broken plus the motor is in unknown condition. It was better for me to replace the housing since my mirror base was otherwise perfect.

Yeah, that spring is a pita. Been there done that (will likely do it again since some @#$% decided to door my mirror hard enough to break it. ^$#&ers).
