  • aftermarket fender fitment

has anybody used aftermarket fenders on their 87-89 Z? How's the fitment?
Factory fender is around $250 and aftermarket is around $100. Is it worth the extra $150?

Depends upon the fender, but I usually stay away from aftermarket stock replacement body pieces since they often do not fit correctly. If you want to save money, but old fenders in good shape.

The aftermarket fender I have now is worthless.

-body lines don't line up and no way to adjust it to.
          -thin.
-the point where the fender meets the A-pillar is SHARP because the press punched through the metal during manufacture and made a nice cheese grater hole for my hand when I wash it
          -missing some bolt holes
-hood/fender area is impossible to line up

It was cheap and availible, but I paid for it in the end.
