  • Spec-v rims rubbing up front

hi i have an 84 n/a 300zx which seems to be rubbing the struts up front
i was wondering if anyone has tried these rims before.

    what do you recommend spacers?

if so where should i get some, and will this change the handling characteristics do to the fact that only the fronts rub or should i do all 4

ty for the help i just got this car last week so i have a bit to learn

    axe yoursef this questions:

do you like being rubbed? yes/no

do you think rubbing is good? yes/no

do you need pictures of centerfolds for rubbing? yes/no

how much do they rub? ______

what size spacer will fix it? ______

are you too poor to buy 4 spacers? yes/no

    etc....

if you want me to think for you I charge 2.99$ a minute, 10 minute minimum, which is in line with most psychics

No spacers over 3mm. Measure distance from wheel to inside of fender flare straight out, then add a wheel adapter about the size.

your problem is you are running Spec-V rims, on a RWD car.

        FWD offset = no bueno

hey, i was wondering if anyone knows what the nismo wheel studs are made of? chromoly? or are they just longer?

I' m getting a local machine shop to whip me up a set of wheel adapters for the rims and i have like 6 studs that are stripped. im planning on just swapping out all the studs.

My options seem a little limited. I can get stock from the dealership for 8 bucks a pop, nismo 50/60mm for like 8 bucks from courtsey nissan, or gp sport chromoly for like 45. Is there any other options im missing?

              ty in advance

well if you get the cromoly ones make sure they are the same thread/pitch (m12x1.25)

but when was the last time you heard anyone breaking a wheel stud? so as long as you avoid chinese garbage and get nismo/arp/.... you shouldn't have any problems

Do you know the arp part number? I took a look at their online catalog and i didnt see anything specific to the z. i would perfer them over other companies.
