I've seen/felt them in person and can say the fit and quality is nice, the color match is fair (at least on the tan ones) but the logos available are just plain HIDEOUS.

Never owned a MSA set so I was just judging on appearance.

Maybe you can find a nice used OEM set? For being 20 years old, the ones in my 84 don't look half bad.

I personally own a set in my brother's 84. They are of VERY NICE quality. The ONLY complaint I have with them is they're much thicker than stock and tend to shift around a bit after a few times of getting in/out of the car. This creates an issue when you put the gas pedal down and it gets caught on the floor mat! Scared me to death the first time it happened! I had no idea why my gas pedal stuck.

Other than that, they still look nearly brand new to this day and that's over 5 years of daily driving use.

Along the same lines...I'm thinking about getting a full MSA carpet kit. Can anyone comment on the quality of these?

I have the MSA full carpet kit & floor mats. I like them both. Very thick & high quality. Have had them for about 6 years. No complaints. Black is beautiful, easy to clean & match & doesn't really show dirt. Take a look. Not bad for 6 or so years old. (these are the best pics I have of the carpet & floor mats.)

Well, it's sure to be an improvement over the "carpet" I have in there now.

I just picked up some thin cloth-like automotive carpet since I was poor when I bought the car. It doesn't stay in place and is way too thin for noise isolation.

I'll be sure to check into it. Thanks for the input.

Do you have the same problems like some people with the gas pedal getting caught on the floor mat.

My stock drivers side mat does that, so I just made a little L-shaped bracket out of steel and bolted it in on one of the front seat bolts. When you tighten it down, it pins the mat in place so it can't move forward.

Nope. Maybe it's because I use the MSA carpet kit & many people still have good OEM carpet? My floor mats stay in place.

On a side note, I shampooed the floor mats once (they were pretty dirty as this used to be my daily driver) and they looked brand new again. I've had many floor mats that when they got dirty never really came completely clean.

I'm sure there's gotta be something better out there, but I like what I have.
