How to have fog lights on and not the head lights?

Fastest & simplest way I know to do that is to tap into the running lights. Then the fog lights will come on when you have the running lights on but not the head lights(until you turn the headlights on). Down side to that is that the fog lights will be on when your high beams are on - which is illegal. That's how my driving lights are wired. I never use my high beams anyway.

that's interesting, I don't believe that's the case up here, only things like 4 forward lights, white for the driving lights

and low and high beams in canada are on simultaneously on most vehicles, so I'm not sure how that would affect fog lights, unless you go over the maximum illumination level
