  • harness question

alright. i got pissed off at my seat belt. and decided to just chuck it.

anyway i got a great deal on a sparco 4-point harness. $90 shipped.

these are the bolt in variety. how would you bolt these in to be the safest.

i'm thinking i'll use the brace that runs between the two shock towers. it seems pretty beafy for a car. either that or i will weld in a bar that goes between the shock towers and hook the belts into that. but i'm not sure if that will violate the autox rules.

then i'll bolt the lap belts into the bottom bolt for the seat belt on the passenger side.

or i could bolt those lap belts into the rear seat bolts.

this will be used in autocross events. so it will need to pass inspection. since the rest of my car probably won't.

get a rear strut bar, and attach to it.

Terrible idea putting those wheels on...

I would never trust one of those to hold seatbelts.

The SCCA rules are online, but I believe a welded in bar was acceptable. The autopower rollbar is cheap and easy to install though.
