tranny sensor

a while back when i was doing my turbo project i broke the part that screws on to the tranny sensor, the part with 2 wires comming of it. i finally managed to find one after 4 months of driving with no speedometer, i install the new piece and go for a drive and my speedometer still wont work.

my question, the tranny sensor from an 87NA is it the same as one from an 87turbo. im kinda stumped.i may have switched the little plastic gear from the 87na to the 87T. could this be a problem?

anyone else encounter this?

87+ all used a digital sensor, but digidash is different than analog.... afaik

someone out there must have put a 30A into an 87NA. im just lost now.
are all speed sensors the same?? does this sensor run through the computer at all. i ran the codes and it gave me a code 14

1.Vehicle speed sensor or circuit, there has got to be a way to test this tsuff out! i have the old speed sensor but its been badly damaged, i will try to swap it out, and report back!
