Wierd diff question

was the drive shaft spinning? Generally if only one wheel spins, it is not an lsd, or at least not a good one.

So wierd question. I know that the wheels on open diff cars spin opposite of each other when in the air and that the wheels on an lsd spin in the same direction. Of course thats when spinning it at the wheel. Heres the question. I jacked up a car the other day and one wheel spun and the other didnt. It was a turbo Z at the junkyard. Both wheels spun free but if you spun one, the other wouldnt spin. Whats up with that?
