Anyone running higher than stock horse power on a stock auto-trans with good results or are you using a high stall converter with a modified auto trans? How did you modify it and where did you get the parts?

Tehpopa's 86T is running a stock turbo auto transmission with the exception of tractor hydraulic fluid instead of ATF. It shifts fine, and seems to be holding up alright but I don't like to run other people's cars in boost for very long so who knows.

    3" turbo back
    Cone filter
    UR underdrive pulley
    Boost at 11PSI
    est ~210rwhp through the auto

For upgrades there are a few, but levelten has both torque converter "service" and upgraded "billet" units, as well as modified valve bodies and full transmission service to make your trans handle a claimed 400+hp. You can do the valve body modifications yourself if you can find it on z31.com.

I was also lucky to find an unused b&m shift kit made for the jatcos' in 1981. So far it works perfectly. The torque converter flashes to 2800 before it grabs. And lastly I use a mixed in a bit of tractor fluid (2 liters) to tighten the converter up a bit. If you want the rebuild specs let me know and i'll send them over.
cool post it, the more good info on here the better.... and deleting isn't a concern here at least
