    I'm going to ship my 3.9 here soon, how much does the sucker weigh? Anyone have an estimate?

        dam, im guessing the 87-89 CLSD are about 90lbs then. I boxed mine up yesterday and it felt like about 60-70 lbs, if a normal open diff is 78lbs then the LSD must be more.....

          I just weighed one 2 days ago it was 96 pounds undrained

            The viscous i shipped weighed ~90 pounds with fluid drained.
            My beloved Z:1987 2+2 NA2T w/30a swap.
            My black sheep: 88ss parts car (pretty much stripped and gone)
            207k miles and counting. Turbo'd since 155k.

                        my weight included a cardboard + foam package but no companion flange.... I figure the flange would have made up for the box weight....

                        so I felt confident with the 78 being accurate and is now verified

                          I weighed a 3.7 open, and it might not have been absolutely dry... but wonder if the gearing matters
