  • Indicator wires

    Hello,

Might anyone know where I can find the following wires in the engine bay:
    1) The second positive wire going to the front bumper directional lights. ('Second' meaning the wire going to the brighter filament.)
    2) The positive wire going to the front side marker light (located on fender).

My goal is to splice a wire in parallel from (1) and use it to energize a normally closed relay (in series with the side marker lamp positive lead) that will interrupt the wire in (2). This will cause the side marker light (when lit) to flash on/off in synch (but out-of-phase) with the front indicators. Why do this? On my model (1985 Turbo GL) the front directionals cannot be easily seen from the side when flashing --- especially at night. They are embedded within the front bumper. I feel this is an overlooked safety feature by Nissan, but given the above, should be easily incorporated.

    Thank you.
