  • 85 N/A Z fuel problem

First off, a 190 walbro is NOT too big. You can run a 255lph walbro as a stock replacment just fine. The problem would lay in the fact that your lines or your FPR cannot flow enough fuel back to the tank in which case fuel pressure would build too high. This is not a problem on any z31. Second, A fuel pressure regulator doesnt care what car it is installed on. Its only job is to regulate fuel pressure in the line, wether 4 injectors are behind it or 50 injectors, doesnt matter.

Check your base fuel pressure by installing a gauge anywhere behind the fuel pressure regulator and after the fuel filter. People generally put it right after the fuel filter. I have mine after all of the injectors on the FPR.

You should not be running anything more than 40psi of fuel pressure (with the engine OFF and the pump running)

If all of the above checks out OK then it is somthing else.

What is your car doing to make you think that it is running rich?

You think its reading 50psi ????? But you are not sure???

50psi is too high. I think the factory base pressure is like 36-40 psi. I know its not 50psi. This will cause you to run rich.
