Here is the Scenario.
85NA Chassis, 9:1 engine, wire Harness, stock 5 speed.
86T Auto/ Non-federal ECU + Dual feed injectors
85T manual/ Federal ECU
I was running the 86T ECU out of my parts car. Pretty positive the wiring harnesses are different. I am pretty sure it would take a decent amount of work to re-pin/re-wire the system. I am pretty sure it has never been into closed loop due to the 02 pretty much missing out of the picture.
So i decided to pick up a 85T ecu. Found one, bought it, and installed it. CAR runs like garbage. Was running ~OK when i first started it and waited for it to warm up to were it sounded like the enrichment for warm up went away.
Started to drive away, seemed fine for about 30 feet. Then BOGBOGBOGBGOBOG. Let off the gas idles at 500 and dies. Try to restart, does the usual up to 1100 rpm and then back down to NO rpm.
Managed to get it back into the parking spot. Tried restarting it and messing with the gas pedal. Just smelled like extreme amounts of gas. put the 86t ecu back in and called it a day.
Can someone please help
Much appreciated
