  • CAS Frequency Divider

I need a CAS frequency divider to divide the tach-o-meter frequency of a VH45 in half so that a 240SX tach can read it correctly. Right now it shows double the RPMs.

    1) Are there consumer products available for this?

    2) I can also make one, if need be, but I don't want to spend the time researching out the right IC and discrete components to make it happen. But, if it comes down to this, does anyone one know of a schematic or specific frequency divider module that I can look at and reverse engineer or something.

I dont have a schematic handy, but a divider is a simple circuit. Shouldnt be more than 4-5 components.

Ok, well, apparently the tach reads correctly now, so I was misinformed. Thanks.
