chipped computer????

  • chipped computer????

    i was wondering if you guys think this computer has been chipped.

    its supposed to be an 88NA computer. since i was having problems with the AFM i checked the computer to make sure it didn't burn up.

    heres what i found inside.

    looks like an untouched ECCS to me.

        why is there that label on the "chip"??

        i didn't think it was, but that label looks funny, :?:

          Ask Nissan why they did that. Probably has something to do with the actual flash on there. If we took the time we could probably correlate that number to the model. But there is little point in that since we can do that with the ecu model number.

                Why when I already did it? LOL J/K

                BUT

                No, each different flash does seem to have a different code on the chip. I have had 5 88T Manual Fed ECU's and all had the same number, all 3 NA ECU's had the same number also. Not sure about other years, but I would assume thats the trend.

                  I figured it was as such. But often times you will find different revisions in the same part number without there being an official difference. I thought the number on the eprom could be something as simple as 88t fed man 128k 85ms or same with a 65ms. Some stupid difference that to us makes no difference at all.
