I'm not sure I agree. The aem is a much more polished unit. I'd go with the AEM since the price would be about the same either way.
As far as the rpm signal I think you can find a way to adapt it. Check the application guides for other nissan vehicles. The cas operates in a pretty standard way so I can only imagine the AEM would be able to use it with minimal modifications.
