A tank that holds fuel for when you need it at levels of high demand, or for high-G cornering.

It's a seperate tank that is fed by the pump in the stock tank, but does not have pressure in it, rather it is simply kept full by the pump in the tank. Then another pump pulls it from the surge tank to pressurize the fuel system. This assures the second pump will ALWAYS have fuel.

its shown as being mounted between pressure regulator control solinoid valve and a one way valve to the t/b on vg30et...shows it as a surge tank??black can with two vacuum lines?

Maybe for vacuum, but not for fuel. Is that what you meant?

The part you described is located in the drivers inner fender.

Thanks Dan...the Chiltons book shows it used in 87 and later turbo applications...when mounted are the vacuum nipples pointing up or down.thx again, mike.

Since mcx is not using a earkier model turbo-ecu, he has no need for the surge tank.
