    Look eye!

All systems have a built in map sensor which allows for Barometric pressure compensation (due to changes of weather conditions).

Another advantage is that it's one less part to fail, and the temp sensors required are like $40 AUD 8)

As for the maf/afm deal, it aint no arguement. We call it an afm and so does the manual and you guys call it a maf, simple as that really! I was just teasing...

      maf+clt+CAS= 3 parts to fail

      MAP sensor + IAT sensor+ clt+CAS = 4 parts to fail

the map sensor has more parts to fail

Well of course an AFM by itself is going to be cheaper than an entire programmable ECU lol. My friend swears by that system, and since he runs the 1/4 quicker than anyone here or anyone else I know personally for that matter, I think it's safe to say that he knows what he's talking about.

It's better, if you bothered to actually read the link I pasted, which you obviously didn't, you might have half a clue about the system I'm talking about. The map is built in and the sensors required are a measly $40AUD/$30USD...

Anyway whatever, I was just showing an alternative to upgrading the AFM. Bash it as you will, but there's more than one way to skin a cat. 8)
