  • ECU woes

I have 88t dual rail injectors with an o2 sensor from an 84t. Before I had an ECU from an 84 turbo car however that was in a car that was stolen from me so i now have no ECU.
I'm looking for an 84-85 ECU but ideally i'd like to have an 88-89t ecu that will read my 84 o2 sensor. Am I fuct and have to use the 84-85t ecu or should i buy this and try to find a chippy that would work?
    Funny stories!

that's a picture of a turbo ECU.. it says that the program will be for an NA.
If the end-item ends up being a T-ecu, then the o2 sensor will be wrong.

A friend of mine has an 88NA ecu all socketed up, should work with a regular o2 sensor, and I can burn a stock SS program to it if you'd want.

If you're interested, airdamien gmail ... and I'll give him a call.
vg33et -blew some chunks outta it, then gave it all away.

          ALL 86's should be titania.

              zmech-

From experience don't rely on the Nissan stealership service dept to have a valid answer on the O2 sensor. I went through this crap when I first bought my 84NA. It was ridiculous. Long story but they managed to jack me around for 3 weeks because I knew nothing other than what the Haynes manual said at the time. I would trust Jason's link and grahfz before any Nissan stealership any day of the week.

              Just my 2 cents.
Just stand back and throw money.
              Performance costs money.
              Reliable performance costs more.

how big of a socket did you need to get the old sensor out?
