  • Anybody need injectors cleaned and flow tested?

There's a local guy who is an instructor in one of my classes and runs his own fuel injector refurbishing service. He said if I gave him a big batch of fuel injectors he would do them for $9 each. I need to ask him exactly how many sets, but who would be interested if the cost was just $9 per injector?

that kw place I posted in the canadian links place was doing them around the same price, less if you were to show up in person and wait, but I realize that's a bit far for you gringos

I've never done it before, do you get a data sheet with the flow results? I might be interested....dont have the cash at the moment since I just purchased a turbo this week.

I'm in the market for 12 more of the rx-7 450cc or 550cc injectors.
If I had them, I'd be sending them to you for that cleaning deal.
I can't seem to locate any lately for anything less than 90-110 bux for the set of 4.
I probably haven't tried looking hard enough. The qty of the injectors I am seeking was just very recently bumped up due to another job I just landed.

If I could get you some Rx-7 injectors, you'd be willing to pay anything upto $90 -$110?
What years again? I searched briefly but found nothing.

I had 6 of those I gave him last week. I got them back and read the report. pre-cleaning 3 of them were non-functional and the 3 functional ones had 16% variation.

After cleaning and balancing service was performed they all worked! Two of them were ~15% lower than the rest; unusable or worn out. The rest though, only had ~4% deviation in the set which is like new. These injectors came from a pile that looked like a rats next of injectors, so bringing 4/6 back to like-new operation is pretty good in my opinion.

question about the RX7 Injectors: They are o-ring style so do we have to make a custom fuel rail or just stick a hose over them and clamp it down?
                      Funny stories!

I just spoke with someone in my area that will sell me used RX 7 injectors for $25 ea. Now I know someone is going to say I am getting ripped off. I am hoping that same person will offer me a better deal on some they have for sale. So I figure $25 plus $15 for cleaning and balancing. Now I have $40-45 into them. What would I have to pay new?

That is pretty much the price of new remanufactured ones.

Now see, that is just what I was talking about. If you quote a price like that Lance, then you have to give me a source. Otherwise its heresay.

nay. I've bought remanned injectors from local places for 50 each. going either route has its ups and downs. I rarely see an injector that was so broke down that it couldn't be rebuilt. but if it happens you are without a warranty.
