  • Who has had AZ Tractor Supply build or rebuild your turbo?

So basically my seals are 100% shot on my T3/T4 and I'm smoking like a banshee. It sucks balls so I'm putting the Z down and pulling the turbo sometime this week. What I'm faced with is who am I going to have rebuild it? I know you can you purchase the rebuild kits on ebay fairly cheap, but while I do everything on my car myself, I would rather an experienced, reputable shop rebuild my turbo than me winging it.

What I'm really fishing for here is who all have done business with AZ Tractor Supply and would you recommend me sending them my turbo? I'm sure there are several places here in San Antonio that are capable, but not having done business with in the past makes me leary at best.

    Input please.

Dude, if you're in San Antonio, Texas, give this people a call. They are in Waco, Texas, they rebuilt my T3 turbocharger to T3/T04B with 60-1 compressor wheel about 3 years ago. No problem with the turbo so far. Ask for Kevin, he is the owner of the place, he knows his shit.

I had my T3 rebuilt by Joel at AZ Turbo and Tractor Supply.

He was really easy to talk to over the phone and answered all my questions thorougly.

I first brought my turbo over to a local place in Grand Rapids and they wanted $500 to rebuild it! I gave Jason a call and he told me I was getting screwed, so I picked the turbo up and sent it down to Arizona. Joel charged me just $260 and $60 of that was my chipped compressor wheel.

On top of the superior service and MUCH lower price, it also came back all nice and shiny:

Well I had contacted Majestic in the past to just get a rough idea and they quoted me $275 for a basic rebuild including new seals, bearings, etc. If AZ Tractor Supply can do it for cheaper, and the the turnaround is fast, I'll definitely send them my business instead.

Can't beat Joel's dealsa. I bought a new 60-1 from him and had him switch out the compressor for a T04B h-trim wheel. 1MM smaller than the 60-1 and only charged me $500. 1mm smaller means $250 off the bill with him.
