  • Got my built VG33 back from the machine shop

Put on the timing belt, manifolds, engine mount brackets, and turbo on Sunday.Ready to install it next weekend.
Then wire up the new sequential fire Microtech LT12s and figure out where I'm gonna mount the 6 individual coils.

sheet metal brackets that come off the plenum and follow the valvecovers... or alternately make some brackets to mount to the shock towers.

went through the whole thing and didn't find anything wrong.maybe I jumped the gun too quick and took out the engine for nothing.I'm thinking it coulda been the lifters or the oil was watered down with excess fuel from running too rich. I guess we'll see what happens when I fire her up.

sounds like my next build, cept want a gt35r and 8.5:1 pistons. I want to build a motor that has higher compression and still feed it big boost. I would like 9:1, just cause I love the way my car pulls now. still planning...

Got my vg33 in my beater. It defenitely spools the turbo up faster, but that could also be from the schneider cams. I can't wait to get it properly broken in so I can have some fun with it.

cool the 4067 is good for 650HP or so and it sounds like you have the motor to back it.

I'm looking to make at least 500 rwhp @18-20 psi. What do you guys think it'll make at that boost level?
