You could take The DETT and bore it to a 3.3liter also right. I'v "heard" the only difference in the blocks is the head pattern. So if one were to bore out DE block to 3.3 liters then they would have to reshape the quench area of the head accomodate the larger bore and they would also have to have custom head gaskets made right?
Anyone know anything about this? Or are the water passages on the DE block closer to the cylinder for some odd reason.
The reason I'm asking is cause I've got a DETT sitting in the garage that is waiting to be rebuilt. If I'm gonna go with custom pistons why not go the 3.3 liter route and just have custom copper gaskets made too? Any takers?
