    When I did mine I didn't really notice a difference. But then I wasn't really paying attention to how it sounded after.

            mine did,

            my "engloid style" plenum makes a weird sound. kind of hollow like. like a vacuum leak, maybe the air flowing around the tubes. i guess thats the best way to describe it.

              If you mean the gutted style intakes in general... Yes, you will get a slightly little different note from the engine under boost and at idle. I actually like it better than stock.
