Back to the first pic - Does anyone know what model of radiator that is (with the vertical setup?).

    Thanks.
    '84 AE Z31 - last time it was dyno'd - 392RWHP, 431 Ft-Lb RWTQ.

For this year - building a VG33, bigger turbo (GT35R BB), just got done with making my own custom roll cage, all of the bodywork and a new paint job!

          turbo auto's have one .

i broke mine trying to take the lines off so i used the stock line and the sandwhich adapter with an aftermarket oil cooler from discount autoparts.

            Using the cooler

The radiator is an AFCO 80170N http://www.afcoracing.com/ I just bought Louie's in TX and they are sweet. They make an aluminum shroud and fan for this model that covers the back exactly. Slightly low on power, 1150 cfm but with a good duct system I believe I will be fine.

I am a little concerned about blocking the front of the radiator with the Maxspeed cooler, the radiator surface is only 21 X 13 and as you know, you need air flow through the radiator to exchange the heat. This is why I am looking for the stock 86-89T cooler. Probably when I redo the bottom of my engine raising compression to 10-10.5:1 I'll change the stock NA pump to the turbo pump. My feelings are while it is apart I might as well change it to a new one and have the security of knowing that it is new. It makes no sence to me to rebuild something and use old parts.
What, me worry? It just takes a little time, patience and thought!

Anyone found more reallocation kits for oil filters?
I have found only this ($460US)

Has anyone install transmission oil cooler to '88 5man. gearbox?
My gear box gets few times in summer really hot when cruising in freeway 140-170kmh (87-106mph) for "a while"..

              http://www.thinkauto.com/laminova.htm

That would be neat cooler for transmission, but i have no idea does my gearbox have "support" for oil coolers.

don't believe we have an oil pump in our transmissions. Just sloshes around. Maybe you can add a pump to circulate the fluids around.

Terrible idea putting those wheels on...

Hot always flows to cold, unless otherwise acted upon. I am pretty sure that all of the skylines oil coolers can be bolted on to the VG's. My rb uses the same filter as the vg.

Skyline has oil cooler for transmission in stock? I have only seen few aftermarket parts and that packed includes pump also.

Off the topic, but you don't happen to speak like Kimmi Raikkonen?

I've always wondered if all Finnish guys speak like him

True. Like what i would do for a diff cooler.

So would you need to have the cooler sitting flush or lower than the level of fluid that it is cooling?

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I meant for the oil cooler. There is a stock oil cooler mounted on the block of rb's. I have an aftermarket one from greddy/grex and it will bolt up to a vg. I am sure they can be found for under the $600 price stated earlier in the thread.

I would say level with the lowest part of the diff for best flow. Dont go much lower as it may become a "dead" pooling area.
