  • Cooling system gaskets

My victor reinz engine gasket set did not bring any of the cooling system gaskets and O rings like the water pump gasket ,thermostat housing gaskets. Also the gasket from the tube the runs under the lower intake manifold .Could I used liquid gasket in all of this parts or should I order the OEM gasket. Any advise.

Forgot to mention this one also in top of the block.

If I were you I'd just order the gaskets you need seperately.

RTV is just a stinky, sloppy mess so I like to stay away from it when ever possible. It probably would work, but you'd be better off with paper gaskets, IMO.

I think the thermostat gasket for my car wasn't even a buck at NAPA.

i used the red silicon gasket maker crap.. it works, but i'll be a pain in the arse to get off. just don't run any water in it for 12-24 hours so it cures properly. i've used it on differentials, oilpans, and thermostat housings without any problems.

went to napa today in the morning and they told me there catalog shows to use liquid gasket. I'm going to call buynissanparts.com and see what they say.

        Thanks.
