  • pictures of different pistons

i was wondering. just for reference if you guys have pictures of pistons.

i looking for stock pistons for turbos and NA's.

    and upgrade pistons.

i think it would be good to show the differences in the pistons.

i have a picture of an NA piston but its still in the block so all you can see is the face of it.

so if you have them lets compile some pictures.

    all NA non-W block

    all turbo non-W block

    all NA W-series

    all turbo W-series

and all others. please state calculated compression ratio as well.

thanks. i would just really like to see the differences in pistons you are using.

Uh, Then why did you ask people to put the ratios with the pictures?

Do you mean you want pictures of the ring lands? Like the side view of the pistons? Or did your reply have nothing to do with craZed post?

          sorry.

          clarification needed.

i meant compression ratios for custom piston set ups.

BRC Custom Forged, near-Zero silicon (noisy)
              ~8.5:1 compression
              Z31 rods

Sorry for the lack of detail on the images. I'm sure these could be machined out to be even lighter, but as it was the entire piston/rod assembly was almost dead on with stock. He had to balance out less than 5 grams from the internal rotating assembly.

I have more stock pistons and rods laying around than I would know what to do with. I didn't know people would want pictures of them, the dimensions are right in the FSM.

Can anyone post pics of those pistons? Top, side and possible bottom
