  • COOLANT HOSE ON TOP OF THERMOSTAT HOUSING

I either keep getting bad hoses or the car is running too hot but I got stuck at hardees this morning b/c my hose over top of the thermostat housing burst again.

Are you guys still using the stock hose from nissan? anyone know of a stronger replacement you can recommend that I can checkout while im at work today and am waiting on the tow truck HA!!!!!!

I've used em from Nissan, Gates, and whoever Napa uses. So far I've never had one burst.

I dont think so, but I will check when I get it home tonight. It was empty, I just did a flush like.....3 weeks ago and I checked all the lines. It was fine. Strange................

Coolant bypass hose... had the stock one burst. Got from napa and cut to shape, replacement was a pain to get it on right w/o removing the lower intake, but in the 4 years since then I've had no issues.

It'd be as hard as changing your thermostat.

I have never had a bad hose, and I only use nissan hoses there. If you keep busting them, you might be damaging them when you install them. I normally replace them during a timing belt service if it looks old.
