  • Screw Turbos...I'm Supercharged Now...

    Joking...
This was taken a while back when someone on Z31.com posted asking about superchargers and someone
recommended the stock Thunderbird supercharger. Well my buddy and I read this and just so happened to have
2 Thunderbird SC's laying in a corner of his garage. So we bust out laughing, ran and got one of them, opened my hood and
slapped it on the plenum. He topped it off by putting a belt on it, we nearly hit the floor when I connected it to my AC.

We planned on posting it up on Z31.com but never got around to it.

Yeah my supports are shot. I keep forgetting to buy new ones. The other day, one of them just started peeing all over the place.
At first I thought the sound was my battery exploding

HaHa. Good laugh. I love the hood prop. Mine keep getting more and more pathetic it's only a matter of time. I put new ones in the hatch (did anybody know that 2 seater struts are actaully longer than 2+2s?) a couple months ago finally so i could get rid of the broken ice scraper that was used as a prop. Post this on zcar.com maybe they'll bite.

I wouldn't knock Ryans car. It was pretty fast until the CV joint broke. NO that is not even close to ideal and they know about the problems with the design. But the point of was that a 15 yr old kid did that more or less on his own. To my knowledge the first to do so that actually ran. It also fits rather close to the parts sticking through when it's closed.

This is actually really impressive, but it just shows how god awful a SC looks on a Z31. Now if it were side mounted somehow in place of the AC or something it might ok, but the piping is something to figure out!

I'm going to post this picture up on Zcar.com. I feel bad for bursting some people's bubble :?

I know how come it needs to be that size, but why someone would do that is beyond me...

For the money it would of cost vs the amount of power it would be putting out doesn't make that setup all that cost efficient but the wow factor is extreme and at least the damn hood closes lol It looks almost factory...
