heres is what I recieved from firehawk today in the mail, I was surprised on how fast the shipping was...anyways I will take a pic after they are installed, does anyone know and easy (if that is possible) way to take of the EGR Studs on the manifold, if anyone knows and can help me out I would greatly appreciate it, and thank you very much chuck for the plates they look great, but some of the coating came off on the paper towel they were sent in (shown in pic)..other than that they look good...

Put a nut on the stud, then a locking washer (not necessary), and then put another nut on the stud and really tighten it good. Then loosen the first nut that you put on (use a wrench of course). Should come right out.

I was afraid of that. You said you needed them asap, so yours was the first out, and I don't think the paint dried all the way.

I only had time to make the template and the one set. The next batch will be done next week.

i can't believe you guys can't figure out how to make them yourselves.

                  lucky for firehawk.

i think it took me all of 20 minutes to cut all mine out, drill the holes and install.

It's not so much a matter of not figuring it out. It's a matter of time, patiance, skill and motivation.

I lack the motivation and patiance to make them.
I'm more concerned with getting my new clutch in, playing with my Nistune and getting my new turbo ready for install instead of wasting time on blockoff plates I can just buy.

not to spoil the thread but I can have a bunch of sets cnc laser-cut from sheets if you guys want.... I can't imagine the price would be much over $25+sh per set

I'd imagine everyone would want aluminum or stainless, it wouldn't have to be thick at all, even 1/8" would be overkill for what they have to do, and I can just as easily get the required screws in ss for an extra couple bucks

                        hey Firehawk,

Is there any chance I can get a set of these by Saturday?

Let me know, and I'll PP ya some cash.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm happy to be able to buy stuff like this.
The time it would take for me to make one set is worth more than $40

Why not just make them out of aluminium? The paint is going to come off all of them...

Still doesn't answer the question, why not aluminium? Then you dont have to even worry about painting them aswell as looking a whole lot better too...
