SATAN wrote: That gasket looks Identical to the Beck Arnerly? gaskets that I always get and I've never had a problem with mine either. Then again I suppose i could have gone over board with the oring in the block but hey, Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Is a good idea to o-ring the block and use the Victor Reinz head gasket for extra insurance because I have my block at the machine shop and I could have it done wile is there.

What do you guys think

Short answer: No; the seal ring on regular head gaskets is not designed to have an o-ring crush in behind it. I would for sure not do it with these gaskets, as it would probably just compromise the seal on the seal ring. I'm sure they are more than sufficient already. The only gaskets I would ever recommend running with an o-ringed block are copper.

Ok, it seems some posts were deleted since the site came back up but anyway....

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for Kris86T to respond to emails about these gaskets? Sent him one about almost 2 weeks ago (or a week - can't remember) and no reply as of yet.

I got through to Kris today. The reason he gave me was that he apparently has not checked that e-mail address in a while because of the amount of spam he has been getting. He promised he would send you an E-mail ASAP after he calls Dana corp to see why you have not gotten your gasket set.

I really don't see why you can't use the gaskets from the non-w (84-86T) set on a W engine. As far as I know, the differences are mostly changes to RTV from a gasket (like oil pan and tstat housing). The non-w head gaskets will work on a w series motor according to the application chart in the TSB, and I know the valve cover, plenum, lower intake, valve seals, cam seals, etc are all the same.
