I had the exact same concerns.

It is not recommended to confirm proper installation by driving into walls or other barriers as this could cause personal injury or damage to the vehicle.

that all was my point, the actual ambient temperature is not relevant unless it changes from one dyno to the next (when comparing changes like plenums or tuning)

the thing that is a concern is engine/coolant and charge temp, and to keep all that consistent is tough

ice on an i/c helps, lots of air over a rad helps.... you can change how long it takes but cooldown period is vital imo

the correction factor is only of use when trying to compare dynos across different days or locations for the most part

If it makes any difference, somehow my old car actually made more power the hotter it got. consitantly it increased power over 5 back to back dyno runs, with the 4th run yeilding the 450rwhp number. that was backed up months later with a 448rwhp but more torque, no changes in mods, just different fuel in the tank. same dyno

and that was corrected HP if it matters
used to have one of the first high horsepower NA to turbo cam'd 7000rpm pavement pounding z31's....now in process of building an LQ9 LS1 6.0L Z31 with all the goodies
