  • When is low TOO low?

This is the highest setting on my new setup. Looks like I need to use different springs. Yes this is as it sits with springs and shocks in it. As it sits, this is a 3" drop from stock rear springs. It is so low, I would need to extend the sway bar links to get them back to square.

It is too low for a Z31. The cv shafts tilt upward it is so low.

What's your suspension setup? Did you use spring in the stock locations? What's there free length? If your using coilovers then what are those free length?

The free length is way too short. I knew they probably would be but wanted to try them out. I've done the math and found out what I need now. After all is done, it will be 1.5-2" higher than it is now in the rear.

I did drive it a short distance. The spring rate is actually not bad. Not harsh at all even being roughly twice the stock rate.

Stiff springs with appropiately valved shocks ride much smoother than most people would think. That is just too low. It does not look good, will likely handle worse than if it was higher, and will wear out tires.
