  • Straman convertible

Anybody here know if, and or what Straman did to the conversions frame wise to support the conversion? I asked Bum via email and as usual no response....must be too busy posting elsewhere lol....Bum you out there?

If this is a stupid question then give me a stupid answer I can take the public humiliation.

Large, heavy bracing. There is one that I maintain for a customer (original owner) and I could takes some pics. Maybe good reference for this site if nothing else. I am doing some work on it next week.

Yep, we purchased it after he passed. He was a good friend, and I worked on his cars for many years.

I looked under bum's last year at Zfast because I was wondering the exact same thing. The re-enforcement they add is very substantial; beefy steel with cross-bracing. They also used different springs if I remember correctly.

well there is plenty of room to install extra tubing under the rockers and then run X braces from them to the frame rails

racing bodies allow that kind of thing?

I should have some tomorrow, but I am having trouble uploading pics on coppermine. I'll try to figure something out, see if I can host them somewhere else.

you probably need to shrink them..... if you have photoshop or photodeluxe they do it the best

just change the image so the long edge is less than 1024 pixels

I shrank it some more, now 1000 x 750, still will not upload. When I select a folder for the pic and click continue, it gives me a blank white screen. When I go to my gallery, no pics are listed. If I refresh from the blank screen, it says critical error. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
