  • Auto Climate Control: Air Mix Door(s) #2 Not Moving

I only get cool air through my floor vents and I found out from output system diagnostic cycles that the air mix doors beneath the heater core were not opening to let heat through.

I know that the power servo controlling these doors is holding vacuum.

I will be following the diagnostic procedures for the doors, auto amplifier, and solenoids but I was wondering if someone already has experience with this issue and if a broken potentio-balance resistor could cause this. Also, I have trouble understanding the leftward arrows and "(Ad)", "(Av)", and "(Af)" drawn in table K1 of the FSM (1984) on page HA-73- Trouble Diagnosis: 2) Doors, Water Cock, and Compressor Diagnosis.

you sure you have vacuum going to the servos?

I'm sure you realize the default default position for the floor doors is shut when you don't have vacuum to them.

I know this is old.. but in lieu of a new thread. Im having the issue of air coming out of my floor vents and through the defroster. Nothing comes through my regular vents. If I hit the manual defrost I can see a vent open inside and close when I turn it off.
