  • WHERE TO BUY A MANUAL BOOST CONTROLLER

    Hey Everyone,

As you can probably tell I am new to the site and a new 87T owner. I have been reading on here for the past few days and I am now ready to buy and install a manual boost controller, or I read somewhere to just buy some sort of valve for like $10 bucks.

I perfer to buy a reputable manual boost controller but I can't find out where and which one to buy. So what is the best one for the money and whats the website I go to to buy it?

    Thanks alot,
PS. I already have the K&N air filtercharger and a custom exhuast put on the car from the previous owner.

yeah either make your own for like 10 bucks, or do an EBC.

anyone that pays for a bleeder valve needs a bulb replaced upstairs.

I'd prolly buy that just to avoid a trip to the hardware store.

Is a MBC just that simple? My other question is I don't have a boost gauge, I would like to only run upto 11lbs of boost(all stock motor/turbo) (Air filtercharger and exhaust already done) Without having a boost gauge is there anyway I can adjust this MBC to run 11psi?

PM me with you ph# and I will call you.

                    Thanks

Yeah thats what I thought...... well I am pretty sure I can install the boost controller, but not really sure how to install the boost gauge?
Anybody got pics and step by step on here?

                      Thanks,

All you need is a boost/vacuum reference source behind the throttle body, ign on wire for illumination, and a place to mount the gauge. Easier than installing a stereo. I don't know about pics but you probably won't need any.

You have the 87T, go out and look.

You don't even need any power to the gauge. That is just light it up. The needle will move with just the vacuum line coming from the intake manifold. You can even go to Harbor freight and get boost gauges now, or autozone, pepboys, checker, advance. Hell, Walmart might even sell them now.

Don't forget about your pop off valve too.

I was considering a hallman, but heard simply adding it fully open adds 2 psi. My car is bone stock turbo and don't plan on modifying much at this point.
