    HELP removing distributer rotor

So my Z is saying bad crank angle sensor. Took off cap and tried to remove rotor but it wont budge. Has anyone got any tips on removing the rotor? Besides removing screw?

buy a new rotor, take vices grips and rip the old one off. if its stuck on, then it probably is old enough to need replacement.

I am not sure about all 300zx's but all my '87 and '88's have a small bolt holding the rotor on. Look under the rotor hat on the shaft there may be bolt. If not, vise grips and destroying it may be your only option.

"Besides removing the screw?" Yeah man, probably best to buy a new rotor. They're cheap.

You do also know the CAS is below the rotor and the cover plate? why not just replace the dist. or are you going to put in a later model (maxima) CAS pickup?

Under the cover - THE BANANA… that needs to be re-energized.

was going to just replace CAS since my Z is throwing the code. Yeah got it off with heat gun and vice grips.
