    Mirrored T Tops

I'm asking this not because I want to do it, but purely out of curiosity. Has anyone ever taken the normal T Top glass, and tried to mirror it like the 50th AE's?

I'm curious to see if it was ever done and looked nice… I've read that there's a way to do it with silver nitrate.

I would try it on a spare T-top from a junkyard before attempting on one i needed.

Supposedly people have tried to tint their factory t-tops darker and they have broken
    from increased heat absorption…or something.
I've not heard of silver nitrate being used, but it sounds interesting.

I would love to know if this could be done as it would crush me if one of my ae top glasses got damaged

Swap out your normal tops with mirrored ones? I did just that on my 85. Since the locking option wasn't offered on the 84's with mirrors I swapped the locking mechanisms onto the mirrored glass. I picked up my mirrored tops out of a jy for less than $50 plus a tube of windshield adhesive from the auto store.
