    Z31 Wheel dilemma

Good Day all, what is the biggest wheel I can get on Z31 and still look fresh? I was thinking 18 x 9 rear and 18 x 8 front… any experience on this matter?

Have you looked at the Z31 Wheel Show? First car listed on there is 18x8 F and 18x9 rear. You may need to install spacers though.

Make sure to find pics of your specific year to get an idea of how different styles of wheels look. The style changes in 87+ make a big difference, lots of wheels look good on the later cars but most people would say you have to be pretty picky about wheels on 84-86s.

Good point, I've seen a few 86 Z with the wrong wheels and it's painful to watch them go down the road.... there is , as you say a few select styles that are ill. Otherwise better to roll stock.

What size tires did you go with?

On my 86 Turbo I have 18x9.5 +12mm offset front and rear with a 10mm front spacer. Tires are 265/35R18 all around. Wheels and tires are flush with fenders with no poke. I would prefer to put 275/35R18 tires on it since the 265 look slightly stretched.

18" will give a harsh ride … 17" are more comforting but still have performance
