How to: Install a 240sx short throw shifter in a FS5R30A
Due to the inevitable instability of using image hosts, this was created in Word, printed in PDF format and is shared via Google docs here:

Download it instead of viewing it in Google
That is awesome!
Such a great write up!
Question though.
And excuse my ignorance, but does a short throw shifter generally lower the height of the shifter itself?
It seems that your new one is the same (or near) height of the stock.
Either way, awesome!
The only thing I recommend for all those who does this is to get a new bushing for the ball instead of re-using the old one. -

you can make one out of bronze bushings if you want to.
my striker arm is different, so im not sure if it will work for the regular 30A -

You would need an aluminum or brass/bronze cup machined with the proper OD to fit in the yoke and
proper ID to fit over the pivot ball, perhaps with a internal snap ring to keep it from falling off.
Z31 30A bushing on left, 240sx short throw kit bushing on right
The ball end measures 12mm diameter, i don't have the ID measurement of the yoke.
