How has the spray stuff been holding up to the AZ sun?
My concern with RIT would be is that it isn't UV stabilized.

I used the SEM black fabric spray dye on a new aftermarket carpet. THe carpet was maroon, took me 4 cans total to get the coverage I was looking for. I understand what Flying T was getting at in reference to it not getting deep to base of the carpet fibers. What I did to counteract this was to spray the carpet while it was draped over a 55 gal drum to expose the lower fibers. I just did section by section and it allowed it to permeate the whole strand, came out good. I also was selective in where I really applied the extra spray: no need to go 5 coat crazy on the portion under the seats which nobody will ever see, but extra attention was paid to the exposed portions on the tunnel and sills.
All things being equal I would have just bought another carpet, but I already had this one laying around sooo.....
