Paint for suspension parts
I'm doing a few things and took my strut tubes and springs off. Just wondered what paint folks use when they're refreshing everything. I see a lot of gloss black (and some other colors) but wondered if it's just rattle can from the hardware store or something more tailored to the application. I know for high-heat items you need to get the appropriate stuff, but this is mainly for appearance on things that should not get hot.'86 NA - original owner (1986-93) and final owner (2005-present)

I clean it pretty well and use Rustoleum hammered finish topcoat in either black or gray/silver.

I degrease that shit and leave it alone, spend rattle can money on actual parts

I use duplicolor ceramic high heat. Very durable and dries quick. Usually I degrease with purple power then pressure wash my suspension stuff first. My Build Thread
